About Neil Olsen

Oregon Condemnation and Eminent Domain Attorney

I am an attorney with Olsen Barton LLC.  My practice focuses on real estate,  business, and litigation matters.  I regularly represent property owners in eminent domain, regulatory takings, inverse condemnation and property rights proceedings.  With one of the most active condemnation trial practices in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest, I obtain just compensation for my clients against condemning authorities such as TriMet, ODOT, WSDOT, and various counties.  I am also a regular speaker on the protection of property owners’ just compensation and due process rights when faced with takings.

Over the course of my career, and in addition to my condemnation practice, I have litigated disputes related to real estate transactions, commercial leases, land use regulations, vested property rights, commercial contracts, construction contracts and liens, construction defects, professional liability, employment matters, trade secrets and non-competition agreements, wills and trusts, and various business torts, such as fraud and civil racketeering. Prior to becoming an attorney, I served as a legislative analyst for the Texas House of Representatives.

I hope you find the blog interesting and helpful.  If you have questions or comments, please feel free to email me at neil@olsenbarton.com.  Here are a few more details about my background.
